Phyllis Ayman: A New Book
Phyllis Ayman has been a member in the In This Together Roundtable for many months. And now she has a new book for us to celebrate. Let’s express the marketing power of our group by buying her book ($.99) and populate her Amazon Book Feed with great reviews and ratings.
The story begins from inside the COVID19 storm which ravaged our nations nursing homes, affecting the over one million residents and the healthcare workers who are the true unsung heroes working there. It offers an on the ground perspective on how it felt inside the nursing home, especially the lack of PPE that impacted the spread of the virus. Dignity & Respect continues tracing the story to the ill effects of isolation and loneliness on older adults, whether they are living in nursing homes or amongst us in our nation’s communities and goes on to address our attitudes towards aging and older adults.
These attitudes are deeply entrenched in our language and our culture and affects how we feel about “getting older.” from both a societal and individual perspective, ultimately affecting the care our elders receive.
This insightful and informative book asserts that the core values of respect and dignity are the foundation for developing strategies that will help all those we love, and our future selves. to achieve a greater sense of peace and contentment as we age.
Dignity & Respect: Are Our Aging Parents Getting What They Deserve?
The book is now available on Kindle only. And that makes it easy for us to help our Roundtable Partner with a purchase, review and rating. From the publisher this is what we want to do:

Amazon and Reviews
Amazon’s algorithm is constantly changing, so there’s no guarantee that reviews will stick even if we follow all of these guidelines. But we have found them to be more effective.
1. Scroll through the kindle copy of the book until at least the middle.2. Wait 3-4 days after purchase to review book3. Sometimes, people personally connected to you on facebook are bounced4. Avoid referencing a personal friendship or familial relationship with the author in the review. Client relationships are fine.
As a Master Communicator, Phyllis realizes that the keys to opening doors to create more effective care teams in the healthcare arena, are the same keys that open the doors for helping business teams communicate more effectively and hence becoming more productive. In the 45 skilled nursing facilities in which she’s worked, ranging in size from less than 100 to 500, she has recognized and conceptualized changes in programming, single handedly developed communication strategies and systems to improve interdepartmental flow of communication.
Phyllis has successfully led care teams to implement those changes, and developed training programs for all levels of facility personnel from administration to all levels of line staff. This has led her to coalesce a team of associates for developing training programs to help business teams communicate more effectively thus demonstrating the ability to successfully bridge the divide between these environments. In past years, her training in speech and communication led her to conduct training programs on a variety of topics for the Federal Government.
Phyllis has authored three books and written several articles for national publications.
She is a radio show host on the Voice America Empowerment Channel and in the Spring of 2019 was selected to be the associate producer and host of a pilot series on a local public access TV station. She has conducted webinars and presented on various topics in the public and private sector, including ESPN and the CT Department of Justice.
